You asked for better information about Covid-19
We held more than 85 events, reaching over 3000 people to engage them on the important of protecting yourself against Covid-19, including testing and getting vaccinated during the pandemic.
Joint working between LGBTQ + forum, Wandsworth Asian Carers Group, Wandsworth Carers, Holy Trinity Church, Race Equality Network, Hestia, Share Community as well as other community groups has helped inform residents and raise awareness amongst our community on how to protect themselves. We have used social media to widen our reach and to signpost people to trusted sources of information, including our own single source of truth website which includes the latest information about vaccines and other Covid-19 related news.
Finally, we worked with local residents to produce a brand ‘Ask me about the vaccine’ and employed local residents to work as street ambassadors having thousands of conversations with local residents and business owners to make sure everyone had the opportunity to get up-to-date Wandsworth specific information.
You asked for changes to the Queen Mary’s Enhanced Primary Care Hub service
We held focus groups and interviewed local people to understand people’s awareness of the service at Queen’s Mary hospital. People told us they weren’t sure what it was for and how to access it. The routes to booking aren’t accessible to some people – phoning is difficult if you are hard of hearing or have limited English.
We are working to improve the booking system to make it more accessible and also developing a targeted communications campaign – which will include renaming the service.
