Our Richmond Health and Care Plan 2022 to 2024 focuses on actions which no single organisation can achieve alone – where local NHS organisations, the council and voluntary and community services continue to work together towards common goals, in partnership with our communities.
Our Health and Care Plan
This plan is an update of the Richmond Health and Care Plan 2019 to 2021.
Our aspiration for the people of Richmond is that they start well, live well and age well. The priority areas for improvement which the programme has identified are:
Start well
- Improve the mental wellbeing and resilience of children and young people
- Reduce obesity to improve the health of our children and young people
- Support children and young people with special educational needs, disabilities and complex health and care needs to flourish and be independent in their local communities

Our golden threads
Across all our work we have the following priorities:
- Identifying, recognising and supporting unpaid carers of all ages
- Enabling people to live physically active and healthy lifestyles
- Promoting the mental health and resilience of all ages
- Tackling inequalities in health for those most disadvantaged
