Every health care system is built on a complex network of care processes and pathways. The quality of the care delivered by the system depends to a large extent on how well this network functions, and how well the people who provide and manage care work together.
Quality improvement can deliver sustained improvements not only in the quality, experience, productivity and outcomes of care, but also in the lives of the people working in health and care services.
Quality Improvement Conference 2023
In June 2023 we hosted a free Quality Improvement Conference for staff from health and care providers across South West London. The conference facilitated regional learning from quality improvement programmes and projects that target the priorities of the model health system and patient safety.
The conference supported candidates to learn, connect and collaborate as well as:
- model successes
- share learning and experiences
- facilitate system-wide spread of best practices
- prevent unnecessary duplication of quality improvement projects
Poster submissions
An expert panel of judges from outside of South West London ICS reviewed and judged all entries. The top three projects from each category were invited to present their work at the conference.
Posters were submitted for five categories:
Q, led by the Health Foundation
This conference was supported by Q, a community of thousands of people across the UK and Ireland, collaborating to improve the safety and quality of health and care. Q is delivered by the Health Foundation and supported and co-funded by partners across the UK and Ireland.
