Visitors can get help with their health and wellbeing and enjoy a free vegan curry at the South Mitcham Community Centre, Haslemere Ave, Mitcham, CR4 3PR open from 11am to 3pm.
Blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol and cancer screening checks will be available and the NHS vaccinations team will be on hand for anyone eligible who has missed a flu or Covid-19 jab. This will be the last chance to get your booster as the autumn campaign comes to an end at the weekend. It’s not too late to receive a booster vaccination and protect you and your loved ones this winter and you can come forward before Sunday 12 February.

“Everyone is welcome to the event where you can find out about the wealth of community groups offering support and expert advice on getting healthier this Spring. Come along for a friendly chat and free advice on your wellbeing. We are looking forward to meeting you.
“After the success of our first Merton community health fair in January we have even more organisations coming, so guests can even meet careers advisors to talk about work opportunities or learn about the local sources of practical help to deal with cost-of-living challenges.”
If you are concerned about struggles with mental health, you can talk in confidence to charities who can offer specialist experience and support to cope in difficult situations.
