Earlier this month, Anisha Patel, Mayors Skills Academy Project Manager, and Wendy Majewska, Programme Manager at Richmond Training Hub, won the Community Partner of the Year award at the Richmond and Hillcroft Adult Community College Awards 2023.
Anisha and Wendy have been recognised for working closely with the college as part of the Mayors Skills Academy programme which aims to get people into good jobs by making jobs in the NHS accessible.
Anisha said, “We have established a very strong relationship with the college over the year as it specialises in courses for disabled people and underrepresented groups. We were pleasantly surprised to win an award but most of all the ceremony has made us realise how much of a positive impact the college has on the lives of their community, showcasing real life examples of people competing against all the odds. We hope to continue to build and strengthen relationships across sectors and use their model of good practice across other education providers.”
