The Wandsworth Health and Care system (led by the Health and Wellbeing Board and Health and Care Committee) hosted the Wandsworth Health and Care event at the Civic Suite on Wednesday 25 September 2024.
The event was well attended, with around 100 attendees from key partners across the local health and care system; our communities, hospital services, health, social care and voluntary organisations.
The first half of the event provided an opportunity to celebrate and reflect on some of the successful projects from the Wandsworth Health and Care Plan 2022 to 2024, that were achieved thanks to the strength of collaborative working across partners, to support the ambitions for Wandsworth.

The second half focussed on the upcoming plans for Health and Wellbeing in Wandsworth, detailed within the Joint Local Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2024 to 2029, the Wandsworth London Borough of Culture 2025 and the Inequalities Fund project 2023 to 2025.
The Health and Care Plan 2024 to 2026 will outline delivery ambitions for each step over the next two years.
Councillor Graeme Henderson, Cabinet Member for Adult Care and Health and Community Safety, said: “This was an excellent event which demonstrated the close collaboration across all parts of the NHS, Wandsworth Council and our essential partners in the voluntary sector, all of which are committed to providing excellent, joined up, health and care services within the Borough”.
Mark Creelman, Place Executive Merton and Wandsworth, said: “Thank you to all the speakers and system partners for your attendance today. Wandsworth is a borough where there is strong collaborative working. There have been some great accomplishments, with exciting prospects for health and care improvements in the coming years”.
