The theme of this years’ National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is ‘skills for life’. The week provides an opportunity to showcase the benefits that apprentices can bring to local communities, businesses and the wider economy.
To mark the week, South West London ICS is hosting a number of online events throughout the week for all health and care staff, those interested in hiring an apprentice and those interested in learning more but are not yet working in a health and care role.
A recommended place to start is to register for one of the two demystifying NHS apprenticeships events taking place between 12 an 1pm on Monday 6 February and Wednesday 8 February 2023. These events will cover everything from who is able to do an apprenticeship, to what levels and kinds of apprenticeships are available. Spoiler alert, apprenticeships can be development and learning within an established career and are not limited to those seeking to start a career path.
We encourage everyone to consider how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and employers to develop a workforce with future ready skills.
