“So I’m very keen for us to work more intimately with the voluntary sector. I know that the voluntary sector not only do a good job, but they actually know what’s going on because they are on the ground, they work with the citizens.
“There’s enormous energy out there in the voluntary sector. And I hope very much that we will be able to engage not just the voluntary sector organisations who already work very well with us, but also the smaller organisations which sometimes you have to look hard to find.
“So I want us really to go out and engage them and to help them to help us, because together I think we can achieve what they’re setting out to achieve. So it’s go to be a partnership but in a very intimate way.
“I think we can do much more working with the voluntary sector than we’ve ever done before.”
