ClearCommunityWeb helps people feel more confident with technology, developing their digital skills so they can live more independently and connect with their community.
Creating a society where people have equal access to information and services, ClearCommunityWeb offers training and workshops to older people, families, vulnerable adults and carers.
They also work with partner organisations to help reach grassroots communities, making information simple and accessible for those who may find it overwhelming and have difficulty staying connected online.
Croydon Health Services NHS Trust has provided funding to ClearCommunityWeb to host a series of workshops to promote awareness of the MyCare Croydon Health Services online patient access system which launched in September.
MyCare Croydon Health Services online patient access system allows patients to access all information about their future appointments in one place, view a selection of test results and receive messages from their hospital care team directly on their smartphone.
Workshops also cover training on the NHS App, which allows people to access a range of NHS services including ordering repeat prescriptions, booking and managing appointments and viewing their GP health record.
Workshops also supported people in registering for both apps.
The workshop was very helpful and allowed me to connect to the app saving a lot of time and effort
David, local resident who attended a recent workshop at Croydon BME Forum’s Wellness Centre.
