Local VCSE organisations were awarded grants to run community activities, engaging participants from diverse ethnic, socio-economic and health backgrounds.
Engagement focused on experiences of NHS services and healthy living behaviours, with a specific local focus in Sutton on cardiovascular disease (“healthy hearts”) where an ageing, diverse population faces rising rates of long-term conditions including high blood pressure and diabetes – drivers of cardiovascular disease and health inequalities.
