Created by local experts in child health, Healthier Together is a new website in south west London which provides pregnant people, parents and carers with information on common childhood illnesses. The website also includes advice on what to do and signposts to where to seek appropriate care.
Healthcare professionals can signpost parents and carers to the Healthier Together website, where they can quickly find advice for a variety of common concerns. Professionals can also use the website proactively, for example by sharing content ahead of winter.
The website will include local campaign information, public health messages and information on local services. Content will also be available to support the health and wellbeing of parents and carers.
The website is designed to prevent unnecessary attendance of children to A&E by signposting parents and carers to the right point of care. The promotion of the Healthier Together website aligns with our current Pharmacy 22/23 campaign, where we are aiming to reduce attendances of minor illnesses to A&E.
